THE PAPERCHASE SHAKESPEARE POSTCARD COMPETITION (AGES 5-11)
Paperchase are proud to be supporting Shakespeare Week and a season of family activities at Shakespeare’s family homes.
We passionately believe in nurturing creativity. So, with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust we are encouraging everyone to take part in the celebrations marking the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is leading the UK-wide celebration of the first ever Shakespeare Week (17-23 March) with a line-up of fun weekend activities in Stratford-upon-Avon, the place where it all began. The charity has teamed up with the UK’s top stationers, (that will be us!) to run a special season at the five Shakespeare family homes for young children to encounter mythical beasts, enchanted gardens and gruesome diseases of days gone by. For more details on what’s in store visit Shakespeare.org.uk.
The activities don't end there, as part of the Shakespeare Week activities, we are inviting you to design a postcard with a Shakespeare theme. This could be a scene from one of the plays, a character or a portrait of William Shakespeare. The winning design will be sold in selected UK Paperchase stores, the designer will also win a bag of pens, pencils and other stationery goodies.
