Key Responsibilities

  • To maintain the brand name and image of the company
  • To ensure you consistently offer a high level of customer service at all times
  • To comply with company policies, procedures and best practice
  • To be responsible for stock replenishment visual standards and housekeeping
  • To follow company guidelines with regards to cash handling and customers service at the till point
  • Ad – Hoc duties as and when required

Customer Service

  • Considers the needs of customers at all times and delivers a high standard of customer service
  • Exhibits a friendly, open and honest approach and demonstrates a willingness to help
  • Deal with customer enquiries professionally and effectively and communicate any complaints to the Management team
  • Offers add on sales using product knowledge across all ranges
  • Maintain Company standards of dress uniform and personal hygiene

Stock Management

  • Stock Room Best Practice must be followed at all times
  • Maintain replenishment levels with a focus on store and company best sellers
  • Communicate fully with Store Management on any stock related problems eg scanning price checks etc
  • Report any damaged or faulty stock to Manager
  • To be present in store for stock take

Visual Merchandising

  • Maintaining excellent visual standards through implementation of the Visual Merchandising Manual
  • Assist Management team with the execution of floor moves and promotions
  • Ensure products are fully replenished and deliveries are processed unto the sales floor in a timely manner

House Keeping

  • Keep sales floor clean and tidy and free from obstacles at all times
  • Keep the till area clean and tidy and free from obstructions in line with Best Practice

Loss Prevention and Cost

  • Ensure Loss Prevention Manual is adhered to
  • Maintain an awareness of all possible areas of loss (stockroom, internal and external theft)
  • Be fully conversant with and strictly adhere to till policies and procedures

Health and Safety

  • Fully understand and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and Health and Safety Management System
  • Ensure you follow the Company’s policies and procedures with regards to Health and Safety
  • Take reasonable care of your own safety
  • Take reasonable care of the safety of others affected by what you do/don’t do
  • Ensure that you know who the store first aiders are and where the first aid kit is located
  • Ensure you raise any Health and Safety issues with the management team
  • Ensure that accidents, ill-health and near miss incidents are reported in the accident book and brought to the management teams attention
  • Be aware of the location of fire fighting equipment and the stores emergency evacuation plan
