Due to our continued growth, we currently have an opportunity for Senior Systems Analyst to join our IT team.

This is a new role; the successful applicant with report into the Applications Systems Team Leader and will be responsible for the delivery of an effective applications support service to all areas of the business.

responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • managing and maintaining the supply chain system for the business, ensuring accurate and relevant data is provided to all departments
  • ensuring all applications systems (Merret, Business Intelligence and Retail Java) are functioning correctly in order to allow the business to run efficiently
  • ensuring all procedures and daily systems checks are completed within set timeframes
  • assisting with the testing of defect resolutions and small system changes as required
  • management of system integrity to ensure all systems hold accurate data
  • ensuring all systems produce accurate reports within set timeframes
  • working with third parties to define and produce any new reporting requirements for the business
  • monitoring and ensuring suppliers / partners adhere to agreed SLAs and any issues are investigated, addressed and resolved promptly
  • supporting the Applications Systems Team Leader in the delivery of key business initiatives

skills and experience

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • previous experience in a similar level role, working within a fast paced high street retailer
  • previous experience of working with our existing systems would be a distinct advantage (Merret and Retail Java)
  • a keen eye for detail with strong analytic skills
  • strong communication and team working skills; able to build strong effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • strong organisational skills, with the proven ability to manage a challenging workload and consistently meet deadlines
  • the ability to multitask, maintain focus under pressure and ensure accuracy and attention to detail at all times
